Traditional woodworker.
I'm a craftsperson based in Bristol with 20 years experience who specialises in traditional joinery of the highest standard using hand tools and machines to create both original woodwork projects as well as recreating like for like replacement pieces and restoration for heritage properties. I design, make and install bespoke timber windows, timber doors, staircases, handmade furniture and oak timber-framed structures from our co-operative North Somerset workshop. My work can be found in traditional and contemporary homes across Bristol, Bath, Somerset, the Cotswolds and the South West.

I specialise in older and listed buildings, providing sympathetic restoration, conservation and traditional carpentry that respects the character and history of each property.
I'm passionate about natural materials and sustainability. I source mostly UK grown hardwoods directly from local sawmills and often from the person who has felled the tree. We have our own sawmill at our workshop and regularly mill UK grown softwoods for cladding and weatherboarding.
I use linseed oil paints and putty's for my joinery and restoration work. This is pressed from flaxseed and is completely natural and will biodegrade in the future.
Much like the village carpenter of old, I offer a full range of woodworking services. Whether you need a new front door lovingly handmade, some like for like windows replacing and upgrading for a heritage property, handmade free standing or fitted furniture or a beautiful timber framed extension or garden building - if it's in wood, I can do it.
